What's in McLaren Batteries?

The battery is the core of a vehicle’s electrical system, storing and supplying the power needed to start the engine and operate electronics when the engine is off. Typically lead-acid or lithium-ion, it provides the surge required to crank the starter motor and also supports lights, infotainment, sensors, and control modules. In modern cars with ADAS, hybrid, or electric systems, its role is even more critical.

Where it is located in the car? How should it be properly maintained?

The battery is usually mounted in the engine bay, though in some cars it may be located in the trunk or under rear seats for better balance. It connects to the starter motor, alternator, and vehicle electronics. Maintenance includes checking terminals for corrosion, keeping connections tight, and testing voltage. Lead-acid types may require electrolyte checks. Typical lifespan is 3–5 years depending on usage and climate.
