Product Description:
The Akrapovic Slip-On Line (SS) exhaust system is a premium performance upgrade designed to unleash the charismatic sound and dynamic potential of the Abarth 595 and its variants, including the 595C, Pista, Competizione, and Turismo. This exhaust is engineered to enhance the vehicle’s sporty character, providing a more aggressive and involving driving experience while maintaining road compliance for everyday use.
Constructed from high-grade stainless steel (SS), the Slip-On Line is meticulously designed for optimised gas flow and reduced back pressure compared to the restrictive factory system. This allows the 1.4-litre T-Jet engine to breathe more effectively, resulting in tangible performance gains. Dyno testing typically confirms increases of approximately $+3.0$ hp and $+4.0$ Nm of torque, alongside a significant weight saving of around $2.9$ kg (a reduction of over 22% compared to stock). This reduction in mass improves the car's power-to-weight ratio, leading to sharper throttle response and improved agility.
The defining feature of this system is the unmistakable Akrapovic sound. At low engine speeds, the exhaust delivers a deep, throaty rumble that is perfectly suitable for cruising. When the throttle is opened up, the sound transforms into a louder, sharper, and highly aggressive tone that perfectly complements the Abarth's spirited nature without producing an unpleasant drone during normal driving. For the ultimate in acoustic control, an optional Akrapovic Sound Kit is available, which provides the driver with the ability to manually adjust the exhaust valve setting—switching between a subdued sound and the full sporty roar—independently of the vehicle's drive mode.
To complete the aesthetic transformation, the Akrapovic Slip-On Line (SS) is finished with your choice of exquisite 115 mm tailpipes. Owners can select between motorsport-inspired, beautifully woven carbon fibre tips or lightweight, sleek titanium tips, both of which provide a premium, highly visible upgrade to the rear of the Abarth. The system is designed for a direct, bolt-on installation (though tailpipes must be purchased separately) and is generally EC type-approved, meaning it complies with the required noise and emissions regulations for road use.
