As of 2025, the Capristo Exhaust for the Ferrari 355 is now available in one perfectly optimized version, solidifying its reputation as the world’s best system for the F355. While there used to be the option of sound levels 1, 2 and 3 for the exhaust but now there is one perfect set-up which comes with ECE approval. This single set-up delivers a dual-personality soundtrack that is both refined and exhilarating. With the original valve setup, the exhaust produces a toned, sportier sound below 4000 rpm when the valve is closed—perfect for everyday use. However, when the valve opens, the Capristo unleashes its awesome high-pitched howl and F1-style scream, delivering the aggressive sound the system is famous for.
For an even more enhanced setup, Capristo’s optional Valve Bypass & Remote Control offers total command. This allows for manual control of the valve position via remote, enabling you to open the valve at low RPMs for a sportier and more dynamic idle tone.
The F355 system is made from ultra-high grade T309 stainless steel for both the 2.7 and 5.2 models, and it is substantially lighter than the stock exhaust. Its double-skinned construction and superior flow capabilities mean less heat is retained. A power gain in the region of 18bhp is achieved via the reduction in backpressure, allowing the engine to breathe with hugely improved efficiency, especially at high rpm. A racing version of the Capristo for the 355 is also available, as well as catalytic replacement pipes, sports cats, and exhaust valve kits.
